The Americans have landed

We had an uneventful overnight flight into Glasgow, Scotland on Thursday morning. I sat next to a nice Glasgowian who entertained himself on the flight by drinking double vodka orange juices, and little bottles of red wine. When I said "Having a little night cap?" on his 2nd bottle of wine, he said "This'll knock me out!". Of course he had a strong Scottish accent so it didn't sound quite like that.

We took the train down to Irvine after landing in Glasgow and there we tested the kindness of the Scotch people. Just as we got off the train, and unloaded our golf bags, and the train was pulling away, my brother and I realized we had both left our backpacks on the train. Nothing much important in them - just passports, iPods, laptops, phones, hotel papers, etc.
Happily they were returned to us at the train station about an hour later creating big sighs of relief. I began to wonder how I could pitch to Ian the idea of an office in Glasgow.
